Hello again for the first time.

It's been a while. How are you?

Things have been pretty good here. I just celebrated my tenth wedding anniversary. The kids are about to start school again—one starting middle school, two starting high school, and one starting his final year of high school. If I'm so fortunate, this time next year I'll be preparing to move my oldest son into his dorm. Suffice to say there's never a dull day in our household.

A lot has happened since we last talked, and most of it I can't talk about. I know, I know—why'd I bring it up then, right? Mostly just to let you know I haven't been idle and that you'll start to see some of the work I've been doing pretty soon. It'll be worth the wait, I promise. When you find the right people...magic happens. Everything just falls into place.

You may recognize the platform hosting this site. That's right, we're back on Ghost! Congratulations to John, Hannah, and the Ghost Foundation team and its contributors on the recent release of Ghost 1.0.0 (and already at 1.5.0 as of this writing)! I'm excited about where this platform is going. Given the current political climate in the United States and around the world, I believe free speech and free press is more important than ever. As such, I've committed to using Ghost to power my personal site and, as the roadmap becomes reality, hopefully some future projects as well.

No mention of Ghost on this site can pass without wondering "Whatever happened to Vapor?" Well...version 1.x has been deprecated. Too many things have changed (for the better) in Ghost for it to be supported. But version 2.x...that's a different story. Stay tuned. For now, this site is presented using Casper, the excellent default theme for Ghost.

I hope you'll join me here and elsewhere on the web in this, the next chapter of my adventure. You can subscribe to get my posts directly in your inbox; I offer traditional syndication feeds as well. Want to talk to me in real time? Twitter (@sethlilly) is a great way to do that.

See you again soon!
